Jan 14, 2016: Former beauty queen and actress Diana Hayden’s new born baby born out of her eggs frozen almost eight years ago will ring in new hope for working women who can now avail the option of freezing their eggs and choosing to have a baby whenever they feel the time is right without having to worry about their ticking biological clock.

Hailing Diana and her decision of speaking about the treatment she availed, Infertility specialist Dr. Nandita Palshetkar under whose care her eggs were frozen, said, "Diana is a very responsible person. No one comes out and says I had a problem and I did IVF.

It’s is commendable that she has come forward. She felt people needed to know about this technology which was used mainly for cancer patient. Now women are independent and they need not compromise on their careers or even the man they wish to marry just because their fertility potential is running away from them."

Dr. Nandita also revealed that Diana was quite upbeat about trying this new technology eight years back when they met. "When Diana first approached us_ she already knew about egg freezing and it was playing in her mind. I met her and her manager and told them more about egg freezing how it was like next new kid on the block.

She was so excited. She chatted with me and was convinced about the technology being a fantastic one here. We then did two samples of IVF with her. We got the eggs frozen and then she disappeared. On and off she was around. When she turned 40, she met her husband and they tried conceiving but they had a problem. She had a problem in the metriosis. That is when she opted for IVF."
