Mumbai, Apr 18, 2018 : Anushka Sharma might not have been there at Wankhede Stadium to shout out for Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against defending champions Mumbai Indians.
But, Anushka, who is busy with her next movie, made sure she doesn’t miss out on any cheering. The Bollywood actor took to Instagram to cheer for RCB and explained why she was watching the match from her vanity van.
“Go RCB Go, Come on boys!! Match viewing from vanity van cuz work,” Anushka said on her Instagram story.
The message served its purpose as Virat Kohli and Co were off to a great start with Umesh Yadav dismissing Mumbai Indians’ batsmen Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan with the first two balls of the match.
Last week, Anushka was there in the stands for RCB’s home match against Kings XI Punjab at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
After losing the first match to Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB egged on by Anushka from the stands trounced Kings XI Punjab by 4 wickets.
During the match Anushka had become the unofficial cheerleader for the side. As the RCB bowler struck, Anushka made sure she stood up and applauded fall of each wicket.
The Indian team skipper Virat Kohli married Anushka in Tuscany in December last year. Two receptions were held once the Kohlis returned to India - one in Delhi and the other in Mumbai. The big names from Bollywood, business and sports world attended the ceremony.
