October 19 2019: Recently, ten finalists of the Miss Universe Singapore 2019 competed neck-and-neck at Zouk, Singapore, which concluded with the crowning of Mohana Prabha as the new Miss Universe Singapore 2019, indiatimes reported.
She succeeds and was crowned by her predecessor, Zahra Khanum, Miss Universe Singapore 2018. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was one of the guest judges, which definitely raised the bars.
The 24-year-old, newly crowned Indian beauty queen is a student of Biomedical Science at PSB Academy. She was also a Top 5 finalist in Miss Universe Singapore 2018 contest.
The short-haired Indian beauty is not new in pageant world. She is a Miss Universe Singapore 2018 Top 5 finalist and entered the competition again this year. Though she did not win last year, Prabha never gave up and instead gave the beauty pageant another shot.
Mohana, who was also a finalist in The New Paper New Face 2017, said: “I’ve learnt a lot in terms of increasing my confidence and learning to better present myself. I hope to continue my career in the modelling industry and I believe these are skills which will help me in the long run.”
Prabha will now represent Singapore on the global stage at the Miss Universe 2019 competition later this year. We wish all the best to this beauty queen for her journey ahead.
