Jan 31, 2019 - On Wednesday, Karanvir Bohra, who was recently seen in the Salman Khan-hosted controversial reality show Bigg Boss 12, was temporarily detained at the Moscow airport (where he flew to attend a Bollywood film festival as a chief guest) for travelling with a damaged passport. So, the actor took to social media to tweet about his plight and shared how the authorities were thinking about sending him back to India. Responding to KVB’s tweet, the Indian Embassy in Moscow was quick to come to the actor’s aid and wrote him back, "Embassy officials are in touch with Russian authorities regarding the issue." Well, now KVB fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the officials have helped him get a temporary passport and visa on short notice.

Therefore, thanking the External Affairs Minister and the officials, KV wrote on Twitter, "I have no words to thank the Indian Embassy in Moscow for helping me get a brand new temporary passport and a visa. Celebrity or no celebrity, I know one thing for sure, we Indians are in very safe hands when we travel abroad... Thanks to Sushma Swaraj and the Indian Embassy for their help."

Karanvir also took to the photo-sharing app to share a video of the same. In the video, KV can be heard narrating the whole incident as he thanks all who supported him and helped him get out of this mess.

In a statement to IANS, Karanvir said, "My passport was damaged, as soon as the Embassy got to know, the Indian Embassy, the Embassy in Moscow and the team of Maccoffee Bollywood Film Festival Russia went out of their ways to help me out," further adding, "Special thanks to Sushma Swaraj and all the officials for the prompt actions taken to help me. I have been given a temporary passport and visa for my stay. I am extremely happy to be in Russia for attending a festival that celebrates and honours Indian films."

On the professional front, Karanvir, who was last seen in Bigg Boss 12, is now looking forward to the release of his forthcoming film Hume Tumse Pyar Kitna, which is expected to hit the big screens later this year.
