Oct 17, 2020: Madhuri Dixit and Shriram Nene are celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary today. On their special day, they took to social media to wish each other with their old photos. In the pictures, Madhuri and Dr Nene are seen dressed up in traditional attire. The couple got married on October 17, 1999. They are proud parents to teenage sons, Arin and Raayan.
Sharing two photos of herself and Dr Nene, Madhuri Dixit wrote, "Today marks the beginning of another year, full of adventures with the man of my dreams. We are so different yet so alike and I am grateful to have you in my life. Happy Anniversary to you and us, Ram (sic)."
Dr Nene also had an adorable wish for his wife. He wrote, "21 years ago, found my soulmate and started on our journey together. Every day is amazing and look forward to many more adventures together. Happy 21st Anniversary! (sic)."
Madhuri Dixit and Dr Nene, a love story
Madhuri Dixit was at the top of her career when she broke many hearts and decided to tie the knot with Dr Shriram Nene. Not much was known about Dr Nenen before the actress married to him and decided to settle down with him in the US. Dr Shriram Nene was a cardiovascular surgeon based in Los Angeles, California. It was an arrange marriage. The wedding was a secret affair. And it was only the next day - October 18, 1999, that her manager, Rikku Rakesh Nath informed the media about her marriage. Madhuri and Dr Ram Nene got married in the US away from the fandom in India. For the next six years, Madhuri lived with her husband away from the glitter of Bollywood. When she decided to return to India, her husband supported her and came along with her.
Lockdown diaries
Madhuri Dixit and Dr Nene love treating their fans to their homemade videos during the lockdown. Madhuri also has a YouTube channel where she uploads her videos. She recently released her first single, Candle, on her YouTube channel.
A few days ago, they shared a new video in which the couple is seen teaching their fans how to make sabudana khichdi. Sharing the video on Instagram, Madhuri wrote, "Come and learn how to make one of my all time favourites, #SabudhanaKhichidi with Ram and me (sic)."
Madhuri Dixit was last seen in Karan Johar’s Kalank. She was seen sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt, Ali Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Varun Dhawan and Sonakshi Sinha in the film.
