King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, the heart-throb and favourite star of millions, has a Mangalore connection ! Not many could believe this until SRK himself revealed it while twittering in the aftermath of the Mangalore air crash. Now, in an interview to a leading newspaper after the release of ‘Chennai Express’, the King Khan has once again recalled about his childhood memories in Mangalore. Movie Director Rohit Shetty hails from the Mangalore. He was born on 14th March 1973 to M. B. Shetty, popularly known as Fighter Shetty in Bollywood, who served in Hindi and Kannada cinema long back. Deepika Padukone , the daughter of former World badminton Champion Prakash Padukone also hails from our own district.
