Mangalore, August 27, 2013: You believe it or not, ‘Chennai Express’ is an All Mangalorean movie. It has already grabbed Rs. 200 crore at the box office, released on August 9. You will be surprised to see all three top celebrities in the movie including Rohith Shetty, Sharukh Khan and Depika Padukone has Mangalore connections.

 

 

King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, the heart-throb and favourite star of millions, has a Mangalore connection ! Not many could believe this until SRK himself revealed it while twittering in the aftermath of the Mangalore air crash. Now, in an interview to a leading newspaper after the release of ‘Chennai Express’, the King Khan has once again recalled about his childhood memories in Mangalore. Movie Director Rohit Shetty hails from the Mangalore. He was born on 14th March 1973 to M. B. Shetty, popularly known as Fighter Shetty in Bollywood, who served in Hindi and Kannada cinema long back. Deepika Padukone , the daughter of former World badminton Champion Prakash Padukone also hails from our own district.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is thrilled with the business and response gained for the film "Chennai Express". He says that a film like this satisfies his two decade journey in Bollywood, and made all the good and bad times he has faced worth it. Shah Rukh is known for his romantic image in "Chennai Express". Rohith Shetty has presented Khan in a unique way with some over-the-top action stunts and loud comedy. 

Actress Deepika Padukone, who is riding high on the success of Chennai Express has taken a break for 15 days and is heading to Europe for a holiday with her parents and sister.
