Mona Singh’s ‘Morphed’ MMS Video Goes Viral, Actress Files Complaint

New Delhi, March 29, 2013: An MMS clip, showing a semi-nude woman alleged to be Indian model and popular television actress Mona Singh, has gone viral on the net.

The 32-year-old actress, who shot to fame with "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin", has filed a complaint at the cyber crime branch asking authorities to investigate the video. The actress, who is currently busy shooting for "Kya Hua Tera Vaada", has alleged that the video is morphed.

 

The 23 second video clip shows a half-naked woman posing for the camera as she mocks and teases the one who is shooting the video.

"The MMS of the model, who resembles the television actress, is purposely leaked to tarnish her image. She is one of the successful actresses and perhaps someone cannot digest it," a leading daily quoted an insider from television industry as saying.

The actress, who is currently dating actor Vidyut Jamal, has said that the scandalous video is tampered.

"Yes I am aware about a scandalous video in circulation. At this point of time all I can say is that this is a morphed video. I have taken relevant action against this and lodged a complaint at the cyber crime branch and investigation is on," she said, according to The Times of India.

Mona is a very popular face on television. She has won several Indian television awards including Apsara Awards and Indian Television Academy Awards.

She has also acted in Raju Hirani’s "3 Idiots" in which she played Kareena Kapoor’s elder sister.

Mona is not the first actress to make headlines over an MMS scandal. Bollywood celebrities from Kareena Kapoor Khan to Katrina Kaif also found themselves in controversy after their scandalous clips were leaked online.
