N.Korea, March 03: In what can only be called a hoax that has taken the internet by storm, North Korea has claimed to have landed the first man on the Sun.
According to a report on Weird Asia News, the North Korean Central News reported that Hung Il Gong, 17, has become the first man to land on the sun. They even called it the "greatest human achievement of our time".
According to the report, North Korean Central News, in its broadcast, reportedly said, "We are very delighted to announce a successful mission to put a man on the Sun. North Korea has beaten every other country in the world to the sun. Hung Il Gong is a hero and deserves a hero’s welcome when he returns home later this evening."
According to the report, it apparently took the 17-year-old all of four hours to travel the distance. And he was expected back towards the end of the day.
The report further stated that Hung was expected to be greeted by his uncle and supreme leader Kim Jong-un upon his return from the Sun. Hung reportedly traveled in the cover of darkness, as it would protect him from the harsh, and extreme temperatures of the Sun.
Apparently, it was this anchor who made the announcement that a 17-year-old North Korean has landed on the Sun.
Another website Tweaktown reported that Hung was bringing back some sun spot samples for his uncle.
Now, we can’t verify how true this story is, but whoever came up with it, definitely has a good future in creative writing.
Unless North Korea has actually put a man on the Sun. In that case, there’s nothing else left to do now, other than hunt for aliens.
