Beijing, Mar 17: Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier became an internet sensation overnight after her wink in a movie song went viral on social media. An almost similar incident has happened in China where a reporter’s eye roll is breaking the internet. The reporter was expressing her contempt for a fellow reporter’s softball question when her facial expression went viral.

Liang Xiangyi, a Shanghai-based financial journalist, was present at a media briefing on the sidelines of China’s annual parliament session. During the press conference, Xiangyi was spotted showing disgust at the journalist next to her, as the latter was posing a long and convoluted question to a government official. She was so upset by what she was hearing that she rolled her eyes while turning her head away from the other reporter.

Within minutes, Xiangyi’s eye roll went viral on the internet in China with social media being flooded with memes cartoons and parody videos. She became a sensation on Weibo, China’s leading social media platform overnight.


In India, Priya Prakash Varrier became an internet sensation overnight with her cute wink in viral song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the movie Oru Adaar Love. The song became a huge hit on the internet within few hours of its release and Priya Prakash Varrier became a heartthrob of many with her wink and mesmerising expressions.
