Ram Charan and Upasana become parents to a baby girl

June 20, 2023: The big day is here and the Mega family is on cloud nine! Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed a beautiful baby girl on June 20, Tuesday, at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. This is their first child after 11 years of marriage.

 

According to reports, the baby and mother are stable and recovering. Megastar Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha, and the Kamineni clan are over the moon as they welcomed a new addition to their family.

In December 2022, Ram Charan and Upasana announced that they are expecting their first child. The two travelled to multiple cities and countries throughout her pregnancy.

On June 20, Upasana Kamineni gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Ram Charan and Upasana have been vocal about their timing of pregnancy and added that they had planned it without giving in to the pressure. Celebrations are underway at Megastar Chiranjeevi’s household in Hyderabad.

The medical bulletin reads, "Ms Upasana Kamineni Konidela and Mr Ram Charan had a baby girl on 20th June 2023, at Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills - Hyderabad. The baby and mother are doing well (sic)."

On June 17, Upasana took to Instagram to reveal that they have received a special handcrafted cradle made by survivours of sex trafficking.

She wrote, "We are honoured & humbled to receive this heartfelt gift from the incredible young women of #PrajwalaFoundation. This handcrafted cradle holds immense significance, symbolizing strength, resilience, and hope. It represents a journey of transformation and self-respect that I want my child to be exposed to from birth (sic)."

Ram Charan and Upasana had been living in their luxurious abode so far. But, the couple will move back with Chiranjeevi and Surekha soon.

In an interview with The Times of India, Upasana said, "A lot of couples move out when theyhave kids, but we are doing just the opposite. We are living by ourselves now, but we are going to move back with Ram’s parents. We both were brought up in a setup where our grandparents played a huge role in our upbringing. We don’t want to deprive our child of that joy. So, we have taken a conscious call to move back in with his parents and raise the child together. Also, we both are working professionals and having their support is extremely important."

Ram Charan and Upasana tied the knot on June 14, 2012, in a grand ceremony. Recently, the couple celebrated 11 years of togetherness.
