Sara Ali Khan, who made her smashing Bollywood debut with Kedarnath last year, has won the ’Rising Star Award’ from Facebook India, for her growing fan base on Instagram.

Sara made her debut on Instagram last year.

Number: Sara has over 9mn followers on her Instagram account

Within just 8 months of joining the photo and video-sharing app, Sara has accumulated over 9mn followers.

"Instagram allows me to be myself and to stay connected with audiences in the most direct and organic way. Not to mention it also allows me to salivate over great food, look at new places to travel to and of course stalk people," she said quite frankly.

Personality: The 23-year-old has impressed us with her cool personality

The 23-year-old, who has impressed all of us with her charming personality and down-to-earth demeanor, is probably the only debutante to have two back to back films releasing in just a month, and both rocking the charts and box office.

While Kedarnath released on December 7 2018, her next, Simmba released just 20 days later.

Notably, both the films had established actors opposite her.

Kedarnath had Sushant Singh Rajput, while Simmba had Ranveer Singh, but the starkid showed equal confidence and left her mark in both.

Sara will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s directorial opposite Kartik Aaryan and Govinda-Karisma Kapoor starrer Coolie No. 1 remake opposite Varun Dhawan.

She will also be seen endorsing the women’s range of a 70-year-old German sportswear brand, and a handbag brand.
