New Delhi, April 5, 2014: Danielle Wyatt, a member of the women’s cricket team in England, seems completely smitten by cricketer Virat Kohli and has proposed marriage to him on Twitter. This came soon after Kohli helped India secure a place in the ICC World T20 final on Friday.
Danielle tweet got Twitter buzzing and not just for the spelling error in Kohli’s name. "Kholi marry me," Wyatt, 23, tweeted. It attracted some hilarious responses. When someone commented Kohli is already taken, reportedly by a Bollywood actress, she tweeted back with supreme confidence ’nah, he ain’t.’
’Kholi’ in Hindi means a shack. Kohli played a crucial role in a victory over South Africa. The target of 173 had the pressure of a semi-final attached, but Kohli batted like a man possessed and stayed there till the end to see to it that there was none who could stop India from entering the final. Kohli’s 72 not out ensured India achieved the target with five balls to spare.
This isn’t the first time Kohli is getting marriage proposals from women. Girls are seen holding up ’marry me Virat’ posters at his matches in the stadium.
Wyatt’s Wikipedia page said she is a right-handed middle order batsman and off break bowler and plays for Staffordshire Ladies and Meir Heath Women in the Northern Premier League.
