BJP MLA Ram Kadam shares fake Sonali Bendre death news. Gets blasted

Sep 07, 2018 : Trouble for Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Ram Kadam doesn’t seem to be getting over any time soon. Kadam, who is currently facing severe flak for his tone-deaf comment on women and how he would ’get a woman abducted if someone liked her and asked for his help’, has now committed yet another blunder.

Ram Kadam took to Twitter to share the screenshot of a forwarded Whatsapp message that he received. The message said that ’Sonali Bendre, the actress who ruled Hindi and Marathi cinema and was dear to all, is no more’. Ram Kadam shared the message on social media and got royally trolled for spreading fake news.

Kadam later posted an apology after Twitter users attacked him for spreading the terrible rumour.

"About Sonali Bendre ji It was rumour . Since last two days .. I pray to God for her good health & speedy recovery, (sic)" wrote Kadam after Twitter went into an overdrive, slamming him for his earlier tweet.

Sonali Bendre, meanwhile, is currently undergoing treatment for metastatic cancer in the US. It was on July 4 that the Hum Saath Saath Hai actor informed her fans and followers that she had been diagnosed with a ’high-grade cancer’ that had metastised.

She wrote that she was "taking this battle head on, knowing I have the strength of my family and friends behind me".

The 44-year-old actor, on social media, has been sharing her journey of battling cancer.

Sonali was a judge on the dance reality show India’s Best Dramebaaz till she had to quit suddenly. There was speculation about her health condition when she left the dance reality show and was replaced by Huma Qureshi. Sonali then shared the devastating results of her diagnosis.

The actress’s husband Goldie Behl is with her in the US.
