Feb 11, 2019 - 57-year old Bollywood villain Mahesh Anand (popular in 80s & 90s) is no more. Mahesh has been found dead in his flat in Kinara Building, Yari Road, Andheri West. Mahesh’s sudden death has sent shockwaves in the industry. He may not have been seen on screen much lately, but was a very known face.

Mahesh Anand specialised in playing negative roles in movies like Shahenshah, Majboor, Swarg, Thaanedar, Coolie No:1 among many others. But post 2000, Mahesh was virtually out of work and sources say, he was under severe financial duress for 18 years, till date. The cause of death is still to be ascertained. A post-mortem is being conducted.

It was only last year that he got a call from Pahlaj Nahlani to do a brief role in Rangeela Raja, but we guess that was not enough to boost him in any way.

When contacted, Ravindra Badhguzar , Sr PI Of Versova Police Station confirmed Mahesh’s death and told SpotboyE.com, “Today, we found Mahesh’s body was in his Yari Road apartment. He was living alone. We have registered an ADR (Accidental Death Report) in this matter and have informed his two sisters who stay in Mumbai."

May Mahesh Anand’s soul rest in peace.
