August 23, 2019 : We and surely a LOT of others are dying to see Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone together on the big screen. Having these two extremely good looking people in a film will be a casting coup, there are no two ways about it. So we were jumping with joy a few weeks back when it was being speculated that they might come together for filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana. Filmfare reported that Hrithik has been offered the role of Lord Ram, while Deepika might play Sita, Yahoo reported.
Nitesh, who is currently promoting his upcoming directorial, Chhichhore addressed the rumours in a conversation with Koimoi. “You said ‘rumours’, right?,” he replied to the question asked by the journalist.
When asked if anyone has been approached for this project, the director clarified, “I have not yet started thinking about the cast yet. First we are trying to get it right on papers, with our executions, and with our thought process and everything. We are still trying to get there.. baaki baate we’ll start with later.” Well, this is a bit disappointing, but we are still hopeful.
Talking more about the project, it is said that it will be a live-action trilogy and will be directed by both Nitesh and Ravi Udyawar. What’s more? Apparently, it will be shot in 3D. Word also has it that the film will be released in Tamil and Telugu, apart from Hindi. Allu Aravind, Namit Malhotra and Madhu Mantena will be producing, the report further reads.
