Mumbai, June 28, 2024: Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim shared a brand-new look of MS Dhoni in his latest Instagram post. Dhoni bid goodbye to his long hair, which was much appreciated by the fans. This time Dhoni opted for a short hairstyle and managed to ace the new look as well. The 42-year-old looked like an absolute dapper as he ditched the vintage look and went with a bit of short hair. Aalim Hakim has been Dhoni’s go-to hairstylist who often shares his post-haircut looks with the fans. The fans get to have a glimpse of Dhoni’s stylish avatar via Hakim’s social media posts, as the former India captain does not post a lot on his Instagram.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s new look

The fans went berserk as soon as the pictures were shared and hailed Dhoni for ageing like a fine wine. Dhoni’s new look was welcomed well by the fans as they flooded the comments section praising him. Dhoni had donned a vintage look in the recently concluded IPL 2024 and fans mentioned that he had turned back time with his looks. Dhoni managed to rewind the clock not just with his looks but also with his aggressive batting and finishing skills. However, CSK failed to qualify for the play-offs as they were knocked out by RCB in a thriller contest at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

"Our Young, Dynamic & Handsome Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It’s a pure joy to cut & style our Thala’s hair and he is always courteous enough to let me click his pics," Hakim captioned the post.

Dhoni’s love for experimenting with new hairstyles

Dhoni had also expressed his urge to trim his hair because maintaining long hair needed a lot of effort. However, he wanted to oblige to all the love that the fans had showered on him for his long hair.

"Maintaining this hairstyle is very difficult. Earlier, I used to get ready in 20 mins, now it takes 1 hour 10 minutes. I am doing it because fans are liking it, but someday I wake up and decide it’s enough, I’ll cut it down," Dhoni said.

Dhoni’s long-hair look helped him get noticed by quite a few when he broke into the scene. Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf was also a big fan of Dhoni’s hairstyle when the wicketkeeper-batter from Ranchi was making a name for himself at the highest level. Dhoni, however, changed his hairstyle after winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and never returned to his vintage look until last year.
