She fell in love with acting when she knew nothing about it. It was the year 2018 when Sara’s efforts paid off and she made headlines with the impeccable acting skills which she demonstrated in her two back-to-back hit films, Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial Kedarnath and Rohit Shetty’s Simmba.

While Sara had a grand start to her filmy career, her journey wasn’t full of roses. Recently, in an interview with the Vogue magazine, Sara talked about her dramatic weight loss, and shared, “For me, it all started in New York. I weighed 96kg and had a year to go before I graduated. The transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio is how I kickstarted my fitness journey. I simply started eating healthy and began working out when in New York.”

She further added, “There were so many different types of classes in that city, from functional training to boxing to cycling. But because I was so overweight at the start, it was more about cardio-heavy workouts like walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill—so that I could lose the weight before entering the intermediate forms of exercise.”

Sara also revealed the exercises that help her stay fit, “A combination of functional training, Pilates, boxing and cardio. I like to change things up, but ensure that I work out for an hour and a half every single day—except on Sunday, because that’s my day to chill.”

Earlier, in an interview with SpotboyE.com, Sara had revealed her transformation story from flabby 96 kg girl to hot fashionista, setting trends. The actress had shared, “I was 96 kg at the time when I told my mother, sitting on the bed crying and saying, ‘Mom, all I want to do is become an actor.’ Then, she said that you need to lose weight. And, it took me about a year-and-half to lose that weight. So, I completed the remaining two years of my graduation in a year so that I can return and start working early.”

She also talked about being a chubby girl, and had stated, “I was always a chubby girl, but after going to the States, for the first two years, I put on a lot of weight and then last year, I burned all those kilos there itself. I think America is the place where you can really choose. Jahaan aapko pizza milta hain, wahin aapko protein milta hain. Jahaan pe chocolate milta hain, wahin aapko salad milta hain. That was it. So, I lost all the weight that I had gained there and lots more by working out and maintaining a disciplined life.”
