Dec 18, 2014: Al-Mujamaie, got married to the 22-year-old woman in a ceremony on Thursday at his home in the village of Gubban near Baghdad.
The elaborate ceremony continued for four hours and included music and dance performances and celebratory gunfire.
The grandfather was not the only one who got married that night at his house, he shared his special night with two of his grandchildren, aged 16 and 17. The two got married during the ceremony alongside their grandfather.
Al-Mujamaie said that this special day had been a long-awaited event as the wedding of his grandchildren had been postponed several times so they can get married the same time as him.
"I am very happy to get married with my grandchildren, and I feel like a 20-year-old again,” Al-Mujamaie said.
Al-Mujamaie had raised his 16 children in his hometown of Gubban with his first wife. His first wife, who died three years ago, had been with him for 58 years.
Local tribal and religious leaders attended the wedding of the three family members.
