New Delhi, Feb 07, 2024: Responding to emails has become a daily task for nearly everyone nowadays. A large number of users now manage this task through their mobile devices, prompting Google to enhance the overall user experience on its Gmail app for both Android and iOS platforms.
Now, the search giant is looking to add another feature to its Android app for convenience that will let you quickly reply to emails in an almost chat-style manner.

As spotted by Assemble Debug on X (Twitter), via Android Police, Google has started rolling out a new reply user interface (UI) to Gmail. The tipster says that this “should be available for most users with Gmail version 2024.01.14.599541078.”
This means users will see a new compose box, which replaces the quick compose button. This also removes the ‘Reply,’ ‘Reply all,’ and ‘Forward’ buttons, as noted by Android Police.
The typing box is flanked by a paper clip icon to attach files. By tapping the reply button, you can choose to reply, reply all, or forward the email. Plus, you can expand this box as well. All in all, this should allow users to quickly type replies for ease of use and convenience.
Some users have already reportedly started to receive this update, but if you haven’t already, fret not, as it will eventually be rolled out to everyone. We checked on our Android 13 device but can’t spot the same yet.
