For those who are used to seeing a baby surrounded by soft toys in a cot, this video should come as somewhat of a shock.

Shocking footage shows four cobras with their hoods flared watch over a baby as he takes a nap under the sun in an Indian village. Some people speculate that the cobras’ could belong to snake charmers, who often remove their fangs.

This tot in India sleeps soundly in the centre of four cobras which are ‘protecting’ the child. The snakes move stiffly, their hoods flared as they surround the child who naps in the sun.


The video has caused an outcry online after being posted on YouTube.
