Nepal, December 21, 2024: In the era of 2024 when live-in relationships and breakups are largely replacing marriages, the story of Bibek Pangeni, who was a Nepali social media personality, has moved people online.

Bibek, a PhD candidate in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Georgia, fought a long battle with cancer and recently succumbed to the disease. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022 and passed away on December 19 this year.

His wife, Srijana Subedi fought this battle with him until the last moment, becoming his pillar of strength all along. She looked after him during his treatment and recovery day in and day out, reflecting an unimaginable love she possessed in her heart and resilience to give him a new life.

Netizens praise Srijana Subedi for her devotion

Social media users took note of their extraordinary love story and praised her for her devotion and love, and compared her with Nikita Singhania, the woman who allegedly harassed her husband Atul Subhash to suicide. Atul took the extreme step at his Bengaluru residence earlier this month and left behind a 24-page note and a long video detailing the tremendous mental trauma he was subjected to allegedly by his wife and her family.

The netizens drew a contrast between both the women – one who remained with her husband until his death, and the other one who allegedly led her husband to death – stating “find your Srijana in the world of Nikitas".

Bibek and Srijana shared their videos online, documenting their war against cancer and inspiring others to fight this battle. After Bibek’s demise, netizens were left with an emotional story to tell.
